Dropbox is now trying several things to be in the top of the cloud storage companies.Since the emerge of google drive tight competition has been going on in this field.Cloud storage company Dropbox has announced that it will allow users to switch between business and personal profiles with a single click. This will eliminate the hassle of having to constantly sign in and out of accounts.
The fix applies to users of Dropbox for Business, and according to the verge the feature will go live on 9th of April. The company has already started notifying users of its Dropbox for Business service about the same. Dropbox has been testing support for multiple accounts since last November.
Given that the businesses are increasingly embracing cloud storage, serving them often tends to be more profitable than catering to individual users. Box, a competitor of Dropbox, did exactly this by shifting its focus to businesses that are willing to pay a premium for the service.
In the public domain too Dropbox has taken a hit with tech giant Google recently slashing monthly rates for Drive storage. With the company steadily moving towards an IPO, targeting corporate users seem to be the only way forward, where there is a bigger emphasis on tools rather than just plain and simple online storage.
